Getting Started with Baldrige

IQC is dedicated to bringing National Baldrige-based processes to organizations at every level and sector across the state. By providing various entrance points for involvement, we strengthen individuals, organizations and communities.

Not sure where to start? Completing a training and consultative assessment is a great way to learn more about the Baldrige criteria, how your organization aligns to the criteria and actionable steps to take to move further on the journey of performance excellence. Contact us to learn more.

The iPEX Board of Examiners consists of individuals with quality and performance excellence experience from different sectors across the state. The Board of Examiners is responsible for reviewing and scoring applications from IRPE award applicants. Our Board of Examiners is integral to helping organizations across the state to achieve and sustain world-class results.

Organizations can get involved in the IRPE award process at four different commitment levels.

See full application requirements and included elements here and check out what one of our award winners, Mary Greeley Medical Center, had to say about their Baldrige journey here.

The purpose of the Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence Award is to recognize role-model organizations that are on the journey of excellence and the rigorous organizational assessment based on the Baldrige criteria.

See a list of all of the award recipients here.

Once Iowa organizations have achieved Gold Level recognition through the IRPE process they will be prepared to progress to the national level. The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award® is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.
